FROM THE DIVINE FEMININE ORACLE DECK

Card 1 • LALLA

When Your Soul Selects Her Card

Words have the power to shift our reality or to continue to reinforce it. Louise Hay, founder of Hay House said: "Every word you say is an affirmation." This is perhaps one of the most crucial spiritual lessons to remember. If we are not separate from the soul, and if the soul is not separate from the divine, then we have the power to co-create our life.

Lalla is the invitation to pay close attention to each word we say to ourselves within, and to the words we say about ourselves to the people we love. She is the acknowledgment from the soul
that our every sentence is a prayer. If we want more love, more light, more of that joy and freedom that expands our capacity to be present in the world, then Lalla reminds us that we can become the author of our own reality right now. We can speak our desires into being,

Lalla is the reminder that we are so powerful that changing the words we use to describe ourselves can change the trajectory of our lives. We can choose to focus our attention on each "I am" statement we say. And we can infuse our lives with the nectar that comes when we act on the truth that we are not separate from the divine.

WHO SHE IS:

Lalla embodies the potency and power of our words to create our own reality. Lalla, Lal Ded, or Lalleshwari was a Kashmiri mystic and poet who lived in the 14th century. She was married at the age of 12 but was extremely unhappy as a wife. She left her home at age 24 to take sanyasi, renunciation. She became a Shaivite, a devotee of Shiva. Lalla walked the streets naked, dancing, and reciting her love poems to the divine. She wore only the markings of her devotion to Shiva on her forehead.
Lalla is the creator of a mystical form of poetry called wakhs, which means "speech" Or "voice.

Card 2 • KALI

When Your Soul Selects Her Card

Kali is as subtle as a sledgehammer. She shows up to strip us of what no longer serves us. And that sounds good in theory. But in practice, it can feel as if the ground beneath us has turned to sand. All those illusions about ourselves, especially what we think we're capable of, suddenly dissolve beneath us. When Kali sweeps in, we can easily slip into feeling like a victim; it can feel as though events are happening to us rather than for us.

Kali doesn't want us to waste another precious second being someone we are not. She doesn't want us to be with a partner who doesn't treat us with the respect and love we need to do the light work we've come here to do. Kali wants to sever the ties our ego has made out of fear, or out of a false belief that we don't deserve better or more. She wants us to get terrifyingly real. She wants us to reckon with the fact that we are not here to please others or to make them proud. We are here to listen to the singular call of our own soul.

Kali is the harbinger of having entered kairos, soul time. And stripping the ego to reveal the soul can feel raw, and often heartbreaking. But ultimately, Kali has come out of fierce love for the truth of who we really are. She is giving us the opportunity to choose again, to start over, and this time from a place of tremendous wisdom and strength: our vulnerability. She lets us begin again from the bare-bones truth of who we are.

WHO SHE IS:

Kali is first mentioned in the 6th century Devi Mahatmyam, when the goddess Durga is threatened by two demons. Kali emerges from the rage furrowed in Durga's forehead and slays all the demons with ease. This is why she is often pictured holding the severed head of a demon, which represents the ego or false beliefs and illusions.

Card 3 • SHEKINAH

When Your Soul Selects Her Card

In the Zohar, the main sacred text in Kabbalah, the Shekinah is described as being a world within the world, as a bright radiance at the center of everything. All life on earth, all consciousness is a part of her light and is therefore sacred. The metaphysical theory of immanence is that the divine presence is manifested in the material world. So there isn't actually any matter, whether organic or inorganic, that isn't also a part of the divine.

The Shekinah is light that inhabits your body, your cells, and is in the cells of all the people and objects you see around you. She is also about pure experience. She is the message, the truth that there is a light at the center of everything that happens to us-both the "good" and the "bad."

And the Shekinah is the reminder that we are not just this body, or this pain we might be going through or this confusing moment in our brief life. We are light. We are molecules of heaven in human form. And right now We can just know this. We can experience the light we are. And that can be enough. That can be the miracle and the answer we actually need. Not words, or meaning, but simply (and more profoundly) pure radiant being.

WHO SHE IS:

The Shekinah represents the omnipresence and the immanence of the divine feminine. The word Shekinah in Hebrew means "to settle, to inhabit, or to dwell." It represents an experience of the divine presence right here in the body, and in the world.
In Kabbalism, mystical Judaism, the Shekinah is the feminine aspect of God. And she's depicted as a piercing, radiant light. She is the experience of the presence of God within us, as the soul of God. To the Kabbalist, honoring the feminine is of the utmost importance. This is why the red thread of protection is worn on the left wrist, which is the receiving, feminine side of the body.

FROM THE QUEEN OF THE MOON ORACLE DECK

Card 4 • RESISTANCE

When Your Soul Selects Her Card

Familiarise yourself with how resistance manifests
for you, the overt and the covert. If you continue to have doors slammed in your face, turn around; there will normally be an open door. Procrastination is just another kind of fear. Move forward with confidence and persistence.

'I flow through resistance and I am in control.'

There are two kinds of resistance. The first type we encounter is when we keep getting obstacles placed in our way or our way is blocked. For example, we try to get a particular job in a particular field, but no matter what we do it doesn't happen. This is external or overt resistance.

Covert resistance, which occurs when we say
we really want to do or complete something but feel resistance not to, is somewhat sneakier.
All forms of procrastination fit in here, writer's block being a classic example. When we want to do something but get distracted and don't do it, or we just can't seem to into many nooks and crannies, holding onto rocks, other established tree roots, and anything that can help
with their stability. These roots go off in all directions, thus securing their position just in case the Earth begins to shift. Then and only then, once these root networks are established well enough, does the willow put its energy into further growth. The trunk begins to thicken and widen and harden and travel upwards to the sky. However, as they grow the branches have little of the trunk's supportive thickness; they have instead the instruction that they must be flexible. Flexible means they can turn with the sun and survive punishing winds that might threaten to topple the rest of the tree. All of this growth is done with purpose and a divine strategy.

The waxing lunar cycle calls for growth, but not
growth without aim or purpose. When we understand our current position, accept it and decide to change, we will naturally grow as people. We might experience some "growing pains'; after all, transformation of any kind is rarely completely easy and trouble-free.
Having a strong intention for the results of our growth will help with gaining the courage and resilience to move forward with our growth and into the eventual blossoming of our true self.

Companion stone or metal: charoite.

Card 5 • RESILIENCE

When Your Soul Selects Her Card

Making mistakes builds resilience. I have learnt my lessons from the mistakes I have made. I stand strong. I am an adult and I act with
self-responsibility.

"I am strong and resilient.

As we stretch and expand towards our intentions, we will most likely meet resistance or - wait for it - make mistakes or fail altogether. This is where resilience, confidence and our inner will come into play. We might ask ourselves: how much do we really want what we are going for? Does what we want align with our needs and values? Are we really devoted to having it? Do we think we are enough? Do we have the strength to keep going

While all of us at some time have to go through
periods of imbalance and difficulty, even of suffering, it is important we learn to grow and rely on our resilience. This is true power from the inside out. Building our reserves of resilience, this ability to stand strong and bounce back, is something that has, at its heart, wisdom and learning taken from experience.

Having resilience allows us the solidity and yet
the freedom to grow and to take that leap to the next level. It allows us to reach higher, with a stability that makes things less risky and allows us to create with a bit more pleasure.

Remember: mistakes are simply information gathering. That's it. The less drama and guilt and shame you attach to them the better. The experience of failure or mistakes is simply one of learning. That is all.
As we move around the lunar cycle and in life,
we can see how things may have occurred before
and that we have experience in how to handle them. Even if we don't have direct experience, We
can build resilience as an insurance policy against
being devastated by the opinions of others. While
someone might say something nasty about us, when we compare this to what we know to be true about ourselves it truly is no great hurt and really just a piece of information gathering.

Companion stone or metal: azurite.

Card 6 • GRATITUDE

When Your Soul Selects Her Card

Be where you are and be thankful. There is always something to be grateful for Gratitude no matter your suffering.
Gratitude raises a lower vibration to a higher one. Do not allow yourself to be surrounded by too many negative people. Life is conspiring for you.

'I joyfully turn my attention to what I am grateful for."

As we enter the last quarter moon on the lunar
cycle, the energies begin to turn towards surrender and release. To let go of what we no longer need, it behooves us to pay attention to what we have right now, both positive and negative.

This attention paying and focus allows us to wisely discern and to be grateful for all of it. Yes, all of it. Because the nasty stuff, the stuff that is making us suffer right now, it already happened and we can take wisdom from this. However, now it's going (Waxing Crescent 4 and the Dark Moon are going to sort that for you) and what we have left is the good stuff, and frankly most of it is going to be great.

Taking some time out on this moon to list a few things you feel grateful for will raise your vibrations and banish any resistance you have to ditching old outmoded patterns. Doing this also turns your powerful focus away from a story you may have started to believe of 'everything going wrong or that life does terrible things to you'. Gratitude is a balancer; in fact, it normally tips the scales to the positive.

Companion stone or metal: ocean jasper.

FROM THE ELLE QUI ORACLE DECK

Card 7 • GENEVA

When Your Soul Selects Her Card

Knowing, Ambition, Confidence

GENEVA, SHE WHO RADIATES, glows with the confidence of a true leader and her choices of ornamentation reflect her ambition. If it doesn't make her feel powerful, it is not for her. She has chosen the headdress of a chieftain with bold markings of gold. Her face tattoos point to her strong features: her third eye chakra that knows all, her eyes that see everything, and her mouth that speaks her profound truth. The flowers she
wears reflect her valor. This is a woman who understands the true nature of power.

Her ambition is not to be denied. Geneva will be seen for the warrior princess she is.
This card is asking you to look at the persona you present to the world. Is it the real you? The woman (or man) who wants to conquer your world? Let your appearance announce to the world that you are a force to be reckoned with. This force is beauty, power and ambition that radiates from you, like a queen's golden rings. Make sure you are doing everything you can to
honor your true essence.

Journaling prompts:
How do I display my confidence to the world?
What does my personal style tell others about me?
What is my ambition for today?

Card 8 • IRIS

When Your Soul Selects Her Card

Transformation, Change, Enchantment

IRIS, SHE WHO CHANGES, wears a waxing moon on her forehead and a curving snake on her arm. Both are emblems of change and transformation. The moon reminds us how we cycle from waxing to full to waning. The snake, the ultimate agent of transformation, sheds its skin to live again. The snake's magic reminds us that as long as we are never stagnant, we will continue to reinvent ourselves. It is this power of
transformation that invites us to celebrate the enchantment of this moment. Shed the skin of yesterday to cloak yourself in your new persona. Iris asks if you are ready to do this.

Iris brings the message that you are in a moment of change. You can choose to move into a new self or pull back on the self you were before. There is nothing static about this issue. Do not put too much weight on things as they are. Instead, take a step back. Remind yourself of the moon cycles as well as the turning of the seasons. If you remember all things change, you will find yourself prepared to adapt to the ever-cycling world.

Journaling prompts:
Why am I fighting this change?
How can I flow into the transformation?
What do I need to do to honor this cycle?

Card 9 • PRIMAVERA

When Your Soul Selects Her Card

Launch, Actualize, Potential

PRIMAVERA, SHE WHO BEGINS, celebrates
the birth of all things in nature. She welcomes the rising sun as the herald of each new day. Delicate vines echo the fine chain she wears as her crown. Rather than become a part of the vines, she moves into the next moment. Everything she honors has a fresh start. The grapes will be transformed into wine. The butterflies will lay eggs for the next generation of caterpillars.
All things in her purview launch something
else so Primavera rejoices in the potential of all things beginning.

This card urges you to get started. Whatever has been on your mind or in your heart, this is the moment to begin. Commit to the journey ahead by facing the dawn. You are being called forth to set the match to the fuse. It's time to light things up and take the next bold step. Spread your wings and put a smile on your face as you greet the next good thing coming into your life.

Like Primavera, open yourself to beginnings. It's time to actualize your potential.

Journaling prompts:
What do I want to start?
Am I doing everything I can to actualize my potential?
What new beginnings are happening right now?

Card 10 • WOLF

When Your Soul Selects Her Card

GUARDIAN OF FAMILY & TRIBE,
ACTIVISM, RITUAL

The wolf's mission is to uphold the well-being
and longevity of the pack.
Healthy wolf energy expresses itself through activism, mentorship, humanitarian efforts, or teaching (religious or political studies).

The wolf gets into trouble when it assumes every member of the tribe must follow suit—this includes children walking in their parent's footsteps.

Although it will surely be uncomfortable at first, practicing tolerance helps balance out agitated wolf energy.

Contemplate the following: embrace all, exclude none.

WHEN IN BALANCE: reliable, democratic, fearless
WHEN OUT OF BALANCE: judgmental, dominating
TO BRING INTO BALANCE: practice letting go

Card 11 • SHARK

When Your Soul Selects Her Card

DIRECTNESS, EXPOSURE, REVEALING TRUE NATURE AND DESIRE

The shark is only dangerous when we don't acknowledge it. This card indicates that something big needs to be exposed. It's lurking in the depths and creating tension.

Shark energy takes over us when we are hesitant to be honest, to be totally "ourselves." or to say what we really want.

It may be tempting to continue pretending nothing wrong, but when shark energy is at play we feel its presence encircling us.

WHEN IN BALANCE: intriguing, captivating, mysterious
WHEN OUT OF BALANCE: sneaky, destructive
TO BRING INTO BALANCE: honesty

Card 12 • SCORPION

When Your Soul Selects Her Card

PASSIONATE, COMPETITIVE, TENDS
TOWARD ISOLATION

The scorpion is a passionate
and determined creature. Their career is very important to them, as are a few select friends.

Sometimes the scorpion's heat festers, and they focus on an unresolved event from the past, usually a situation where they were left feeling "burned."

The scorpion card says it's time to come clean about your feelings so everyone can heal and you
can get back to your usual (fiery but fun) self.

WHEN IN BALANCE: wild and free, fierce
WHEN OUT OF BALANCE: jealous, resentful, unresolved
TO BRING INTO BALANCE: honesty, forgiveness
